We are certainly no strangers to minimalist wallets of all kinds, whether leather, metal or even duct tape. But when it comes to downright minimal EDC gear, the Tin Mill Passport Hardback takes the cake. It’s technically not a minimalist wallet, as it is designed for stashing your passport. But we guess it could also double as a super simple wallet for a stash of cash.

Machined from aircraft-grade 6061 Aluminum, it weighs only 2.3 ounces but provides a hard structure to keep your passport safe in your bag or your back pocket (though we don’t recommend keeping anything in your back pocket at any time, really). A smooth notch makes pulling it in and out easy and painless.

But good looks and simplicity aren’t all Tin Mill gave this thing; the Passport Hardback also features RFID-protection to ensure tricky digital thieves can’t wirelessly pilfer your data. (Passports feature RFID chips embedded, if you didn’t know). So when you travel with this bad boy, you know your safe and secure.

Tin Mill looks like they are just getting started, but if this is what they have to offer us so far, we’re excited to see what else they may come up with in the future. They have a couple of classy, machined mechanical pencils and pens we think might look good in an EDC kit.
