Why Did Saucony And Dunkin Make A Shoe? Saucony x Dunkin’ Kinvara 10

Saucony x Dunkin' Kinvara 10

Dunkin Donuts (Or Dunkin’, as they now call themselves) may not make the finest coffees, but they sure know how to collaborate to create fun stuff – whether that’s a unique coffee porter or a pair of donut-themed running shoes – as evidenced in this year’s version of the Saucony x Dunkin’  – a Kinvara 10 decked out in Dunkin’ branding.

Saucony and Dunkin actually paired up last year, it appears – releasing the first version of this shoe to commemorate the Boston Marathon – running’s premier event. Saucony also likes to release fun special editions occasionally, so the collaboration between the two was a natural fit. While the inaugural edition of the shoe was covered in sprinkles in the coffee-and-donut chain’s signature pink and orange, this year’s opts for the newly-unveiled Dunkin logo. The donut details are still there, though, on the laces.

Apart from the sweet paintjob, the shoe is cut out for running, too; it’s a Kinvara 10, one of Saucony’s most popular. A neutral shoe designed for lightweight running, the Kinvara 10 has an Everun foam topsole for ample cushioning and a FORMFIT contoured footbed for responsiveness and control. The “engineered mesh” knit upper keeps things light and breathable, providing comfort when you’re speeding down the road. It’s even got antimicrobial keeping sweaty smells to a minimum – something we can all get behind.

If you want a pair, you can snag the Saucony x Dunkin’ on from Saucony’s store for $120. Then, you can kickstart your run with a Dunkin’ coffee, before unwinding afterwards with a refreshing Dunkin’ porter.
