Taft Preston Brogues: Gorgeous Leather Shoes Handmade in Italy

Taft Preston Longwing Brogue Profile-Shot

When it’s time to up your dress shoe game, take a look at Taft shoes – handmade in Almsansa, Spain, a medieval city known for it’s long shoe-making legacy. The Taft Preston are a classic pair of longwing brogue’s, with full brogue detailing on the toe and made with premium, tan Italian calfskin leather.

Longwing brogues are known for their decorative upper with perforations and serrated edges, which are given the name “broguing.” They differ from the more commonly known wingtip in that the toe cap extends to and runs all the way down the side and back of the shoe, while on wingtip, they maintain that classic W-shape on just the toe cap.

They feature a hand-woven, patterned leather inlay on the shoe uppers that is striking, and a leather sole. The heel is leather stacked with rubber inserts. The soles are resoleable, meaning these shoes can potentially last for years – if not decades.

The Preston’s come in two gorgeous colors – Cognac tan and Espresso brown. They offer a fantastic and luxurious look with any dress outfit, and complement a blue suit perfectly. They’re stylish, sophisticated and still bold – and sure to draw some attention to your feet.
