23 May Vintage Leather: The Chippewa Apache Lace Up Boots
We’re big fans of boots. Yes, winter is over and summer just around the corner, but a tough pair of classic work boots is indispensable to any wardrobe – any time of the year. And our personal pick for best work boots out there are the Chippewa Apache 6” Lace Ups.
Handmade in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin since 1901, Chippewa boots are built from full-grain leather and constructed in the heritage of classic American work boots. The Apache’s feature a 6” ankle for support, and a durable Vibram sole. The Vibram, in conjunction with the sole’s rugged pattern, results in serious grip and traction in even the wettest and muddiest of conditions. The soles contain single-stitched Goodyear welts, meaning you can replace them when they finally wear out. Each side of the boot has the Chippewa logo embossed on it.
The Apaches are a hefty pair of boots that can take a beating outdoors and on the work site. Yet, they are slim, subtle and stylish enough to look fantastic with casual outfits, and even with business-casual come foul weather. Pair them with jeans or chinos, and polish them regularly as they age for a weathered patina.
