You may need to pack for multiple days on the trail, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to bring a lot of stuff. If that’s the case for you, look for a bag like the North Face Litus 32. Packing 32 liters of storage into one compact bag, it’s an excellent solution for those of us who like to carry as little and move as fast as possible, even when summitting mountains over the course of multiple days.
Cut from a combination of 100D nylon and 210D geo weave nylon, the Litus 32 finds the perfect combination of weight and toughness; it weighs only 1 pound, 15 ounces on its own. To ensure comfort and easy load-carrying, North Face used what they call NextVent for the suspension; a trampoline-style suspended mesh back, with a contoured PE sheet for support, that is the perfect combo of breathable and comfortable, thanks to the increased airflow. There’s also tons of foam integrated into the bag, from the shoulder straps to the hip belts, to ensure ample breathability and coolness all day long.
The Litus 32 also has an adjustable torso length to ensure anybody can wear it comfortably, and it uses a Beaver Tail design; the large exterior pocket is integrated right into the compression system, giving it even more control over load-bearing than regular compression straps.
With 7 pockets inside and out, there’s plenty of room to stash your gear, as well as an array of features you need to keep things in shape: webbing lash points, a hydration sleeve, and two tool keepers. All in all, it’s another solid offering from North Face (when was the last time they made a bag we didn’t like?) . It’s most definitely worthy of your consideration if you like to tackle multi-day trips but don’t want to be weighed down by tons of gear.
