Most bike enthusiasts agree that a wall-mounted rack is their best go-to storage option…whether to free up vital room in the garage or because they don’t have a garage in the first place. But there’s just one problem with wall racks: you need to drill. That leaves freestanding racks…which just aren’t as stable as wall racks or are much pricier. Unless it’s the Michelangelo Two Bike Rack, which is balanced and stabilized by gravity itself.

The Michelangelo comes from top bike accessory brand Delta Cycles and bring a bit of “art deco” flair to otherwise straightforward and simple piece of equipment: bike racks. But it’s also super straightforward, consisting simply of some powder-coated steel tube construction that pieces together in less than 5 minutes and simply leans against the wall – no drilling, screwing or cutting required.

This doesn’t seem like it should work. . .but it does. Gravity and the weight of the bikes push the rack downwards, where the rod feet dig into the ground, stabilizing it propping it up. Two rubber pads keep it stable against the wall and keep it from scratching or denting.

The (patent-pending) Easy-Adjust accommodate two bikes of any size or shape – whether that’s sloping or horizontal top tubes, men’s bikes, women’s bikes or children’s bikes. An additional strap is included if you need more stability, and the Michelangelo can handle a max payload of 80 pounds (up to 40 pounds per bike).

(Need to hold 4 bikes – or up to 160 pounds? Try the 4-bike Canaletto model)

It doesn’t seem like it should work…but it does, and people love it. It’s a cheap and super-quick way to get those bikes off the floor and on the wall where they belong.
