The Maxpedition Valence is a lightweight, versatile CCW pack to carry with you on light and fast missions without slowing you down. The adjustable strap lets you carry it either right or left-handed, slung over your shoulder in Maxpedition’s trusty sling style, and it can be easily switched to be worn as a shoulder bag if necessary.
Like all Maxpedition bags, it’s tiny, but packs a lot of storage into a small space – 10 liters, or 610 cubic inches. The padded main compartment has room for 13” laptop or tablet, and on the back is a loop-lined CCW compartment, with double-sided hook Security Lockout Strip and two-way access. The main compartment opens as a full clamshell, and all the zippers are lockable.
The construction is a dual nylon fabric, with a 500D Hex Ripstop paired with a 1000D Plain Weave. The back panel is a Bi-Level 3D Airmesh, which lets it breathe and keeps your back cool during all-day wear. Some panels are made with fray-resistant Gossamer Mesh, and the interior is gray for added visibility when digging through for your gear. All the webbing and straps are made of seatbelt. Lastly, Maxpedition coated the bag with Teflon fabric protector, which keeps mud, dirt and grime off and makes it easy to clean.
The Valence is good at it’s job; it’s ultra-compact and offers a light way to stash your CCW, magazines and any other gear needed. If that’s all you need, it’s perfect, and will even stash inside a larger overnight pack for longer trips. We’d like to maybe see a water bottle holder on the outside, but if you’d like is the simplest, fastest way to store your CCW gear, this is it. It weighs 1.8 lbs.
