Just last week, Howler Brothers – one of our favorite clothing brands – did the incredible thing of donating 100% of their proceeds one day to Hurricane Dorian Relief. That’s commendable and straight-up awesome. But it’s not the only reason we like this not-really-family business; we’ve got a few pieces of Howler Brothers amongst us at Gear For Life, and we just totally dig the casual sporty style mixed with supreme comfort and premium builds.

Howler Brothers Merlin Jacket
One of Howler Brother’s trademark pieces, there’s no way we could leave this one of the list. The Merlin Jacket is the perfect combination of style, comfort and warmth; it has a water-resistant micro ripstop that is tear- and abrasion-resistant, stuffed with PrimaLoft One insulation that’s ample enough for Fall but also ready to tackle the chills of winter. Those quilted shoulder panels add a touch of classic style that will simply never go out of style, and those zippered handwarmer pockets already have us looking forward to the dropping temperatures (who would have thought?). We can see this jacket helping you tackle both the local streets and the campfire in style this Fall.

If you’d like just a tad more style than the Merlin Jacket offers, look no further than the Lightning Quilted Jacket. This limited-edition collaboration between Howler Brothers and Huckberry that rocks a water-resistant and abrasion-resistant ripstop polyester shell, 60-gram PrimaLoft insulation, and a quilted look that reminds us of James Bond long before it does Beach Bum. It’s light and airy, so you can pack it down into your bag (or whatever) when you don’t need its cold-stopping power. And it has a ridiculously tropical print lining that should remind you to never take yourself too seriously.
Howler Club Snapback
It’s always a good idea to keep your head warm and the sun out of your eyes, and this Snapback reminds you that it can be done in totally cool, casual style (no need for hiking sun hats here when Howler Brothers are at the party, apparently). Woven from a lightweight nylon, this hat promises super comfort and rapid dry times from both rain and sweat. The nifty patch again reminds everyone what’s important in life.
Quintana Quilted Flannel
New for Fall 2019, the Quintana Quilted Flannel is a ranch-inspired, almost-rustic work flannel that, in our opinion, just oozes classic American style. It’s a 60% cotton 40% polyester flannel with 100% nylon quilted front and back yoke that add style, as well as a “super soft finish.” Available in both Officer Khaki and a deep Middy Blue, we could see this paired with both the Merlin and Lightning jackets, as well as the Howler Club Snapback and a pair of their ATX Work Pant.
ATX Work Pant
Might as well wrap up the outfit, right? The ATX Work Pant uses 97% cotton, 3% spandex to provide ample stretch as well as complete comfort, along with a rugged and versatile aesthetic that goes with just about any outfit but should also inspire confidence when tackling the tougher tasks in life; they almost look like Carhart, but with a bit of stretch and slim style.
