Spend enough time perusing sites like ours, and you’ll end up seeing a lot of similar bags all being touted as the best, most versatile pack in existence. And while many of them truly are, none of them really seem to hold a candle to the versatility of the new Everyman Hideout Pack, a bag ready for commuting, traveling and outdoor adventuring all at once.
What makes the Hideout Pack so effective as a pack is it’s classic rucksack design. It’s built like your usual outdoor backpacking pack, with a vertical, top-down approach – but is streamlined, with fewer compartments and large zipper down the middle for easy access and packing, without having to stuff items in from the top down. The bag itself is made from ultra-tough, waterproof PU-lined, 1680 Ballistic Nylon, with an 800g waterproof PVC base, which keeps water out but also helps provide a solid base and some shape. The whole thing is built to be tough and sturdy all-around, with YKK 8.0 Easy Pull zippers, a heavy-duty carry strap, and leather zipper pulls. Nylon compression side straps help compress it down and keep things tight.
The Hideout Pack is ready for your devices, too, with a charger and headphone access port on the right side of the bag, and a TSA-approved Flat Lay Compartment for your laptop; it can hold up to 17″ laptops and Ipads, and a felted wool lining keeps everything safe and soft. There’s even a fleece-lined sunglass case built it. Capacity is 24l, and Everyman stands behind all their products for life; the Hideout Pack is built t0 last.
It’s available via Kickstarter for as little as $189, which is actually a very good price for a bag of this caliber – so grab one before the price goes full retail. Maybe it’s a little presumptive to call it the most versatile bag ever, but it should make an excellent go-anywhere bag for any adventure or daily commute you find yourself on.
