Wyze is a relative newcomer, having only been around for about 2 years now. But it has already racked up some hefty praise for their original Wyze Cam and Wyze Cam V2. Their latest camera, the The Cam Pan, continues the trend their affordable multi-purpose home security cameras already established.
The Wyze Pan remains ultra-affordable, like its predecessors, but has all the features of its predecessors, such as a motion detector, sound detector, time-lapse recording, and cloud storage. This new model also adds mechanical pan-and-tilt functions; it’s now capable of a full 360-degree rotation and a 93-degree vertical tilt that ensure there are no blind spots. At only 5.0 x 2.2 x 2.2 inches, it fits discreetly on your mantle, bedside table, or kitchen counter. When the camera is connected, a small blue LED indicator lights up; type-A USB ports on the back let you hook up other Wyze cameras.
Capable of recording in full 1080p HD video at 15fprs, the Cam Pan has 8x digital zoom and 12-degree field of vision. 6 infrared LEDs provide night night vision, and it can connect to your home Wi-Fi network on either 2. 4GHz or 5GHz bands. 14 days of rolling cloud storage come free.
Cam Pan’s App Compatibility:
The Wyze works with a companion app, from where you can hook up all your different cameras to the same network and review image stills and live feeds from each of those cameras. Camera motions and pan can be easily controlled from the app, and you can engage the two-way audio connection with the camera’s built-in mic. The app also notifies you in the case of motion or sound detection, providing a vigilant eye over your home at all times. And did we mention it works with both Alexa and Google Assistant.
In short, Wyze Cam Pan gives you peace of mind anytime you leave the house, allowing you to keep tabs on your residence in case of visitors and emergencies alike.
