If you did a double take upon reading the words “1500 horsepower”, we forgive you. Thanks to a total of 16 cylinders and four turbochargers, the latest car from the makers of the world’s fastest car is one completely unbeatable beast. The Chiron Sport boasts a 0-60 of less than 2.5 seconds, and a price tag of $3 million.

It also boasts a lightened weight – a whole 40 pounds lighter. Bugatti achieved this by going to great lengths, such as replacing the traditional windshield wiper arms with carbon fiber models – cutting down 3 pounds. There are also new carbon fiber wheels and a carbon four-port exhaust deflector.

They’ve also given it a new steering and suspension package, designed specifically for sport driving, and a new Dynamic Torque Vectoring System, as well as a new rear-axle optimized differential. Sounds fancy, but allows for some seriously agile, nimble handling that lets you get the most of this cars’ 1500 horsepower. Bugatti also says they help the car remain comfortable and useable on regular roads and when you’re stuck in traffic (though we don’t think anyone who splurges on this car would really be commuting – would they?)

And when you are seated in the car, you can enjoy the luxurious cabin with carbon fiber dash and trim, Alcantara and gorgeously thick, comfy leather – exactly what you would expect from a fine automaker like Bugatti.

Speed tops out at 260 MPH. Save it for the track, please. Bugatti also claims the Chiron Sport is capable of completing the Nardo Ring, in Nardo Italy, a full five seconds faster than the regular base-model Chiron. (Not that there is anything “regular” or “base-model” about that car, either.)

But hey, if you can afford it, there’s no reason not to splash some big bills on the Chiron Sport. If we got the chance, you can bet we would.
