Black Rifle Coffee Company isn’t your typical coffee roaster. Based out of Salt Lake City, Black Rifle Coffee Company was started by veterans, with veterans in mind. They’re pro-2nd Amendment, employ as many veterans as they can, and have a bit of a disdain for regular “hipster coffees“. In fact, they say they are “founded on the principles which made this nation great”, and “strive to emancipate the conservative American from corporate coffee.” They definitely have a sense of humor, too.
Founder Evan Hafer started roasting his own coffee while serving with the Green Berets, and started selling it a few years ago. In less than two years, they have grown to over 100 employees. All of their coffee is carefully curated from coffee farms in South America. Selected roasts include their Just Black, a blend of Colombian and Central American beans that they tout as “For the American who is tired of tight pants, horn-rimmed glasses, and overpriced haircuts that would make a bowl and a pair of scissors seem like a viable option.” An assortment of firearm related roasts include Silencer Smooth, Snipers’ Hide and Warrior’s Heart.
Besides the uniquely original branding, Black Rifle Coffee is actually very good; as good a coffee as we’ve found. They’re a company you can feel good about ordering from, so go ahead and get some of your own Fresh Roasted Freedom.
