The Bentley Bentayga is capable of hitting 187 MPH. That’s fast. And if you didn’t know, that makes it the fastest SUV in the world. It has a twin-turbo 6.0-liter W-12 engine (yes, 12-cylinders) that puts out over 600 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. There’s an 8-speed Automatic Transmission with permanent AWD. 0-60 takes 4 seconds. That’s almost supercar speeds, and this thing weighs almost 5700 lbs.
Not only the Bentayga incredibly fast and powerful, but Bentley also claims that it is totally off-road capable, with an adjustable suspension and a line-up of four choices for off-road modes, in addition to the permanent AWD. There are no locking or limited-slip differentials, but the Bentayga does have individual brakes. In addition, there is Hill Descent Control, Bentley Dynamic Ride and a Driver Dynamics mode – which, in layman’s terms, improves rock crawling capabilities by splitting the anti-roll bar into two.
The interior has all the trimmings you would expect from a Bentley, with an 8” touch-screen infotainment system, piano-finished leather and panoramic tilt sunroof. There’s also built in WiFi.
And of course, price is also what you would expect from a Bentley – $231,825 MSRP. But hey…what other car lets you offroad in such luxury?
