The multi-layered dial is designed to reflect the look and feel of aircraft instruments, with “razor like finish” on the watch hands. The multiple spinning discs of the AV 4051 split-time chronograph evoke the Hawker Harrier’s engines and turbines (hence the Turbine Edition) and the superbly-polished stainless steel case is detailed on the back with a design like that of the Harrier’s jet engines.
