The 24 Hour of Le Mans just happened, and Aston Martin stole the show by revealing a first look at the 2019 Rapide AMR.  It’s a thing of beauty. It’s also the fastest Aston Martin to ever be produced, with 595 hp and a 0-60 of 4.2 seconds and top speed of 205 mph.

All that power comes from a 5.9-liter V12, lifted from the Vantage GT12, where 416 lb-ft of torque complement the 595 hp. It’s channeled into an 8-speed automatic with limited slip differential. Sadly, there is no turbocharger, which would make this thing a veritable beast (well, not that it isn’t really…) Pair that with the quad exhaust system and this car will not only drive like a beast, but sound like one too.

The splitter, doorsills, diffuser and spoiler are made of carbon fiber, which help reduce lift and keep weight down on this beautiful aerodynamic racing kit. Even the engine hood is carbon fiber to cut down on unnecessary weight. It also has a lowered suspension that keeps the car anchored to the ground when attempting those insane 0-60 times. Inside are the typical Alcantara seats, a carbon-fiber center console, carbon-fiber sport seats, and a steering wheel based on the classic One-77.

At 21”, the wheels are the largest Aston Martin has ever played with and come with Michelin Super Sport tires that come in at 245/35 ZR21 up front and 295/30 ZR21 at the rear. The brakes are carbon ceramic.

You can grab the Rapide AMR in three different design schemes – Standard, Silhouette, and Signature, which combine for a total of 7 different exotic color schemes. Whichever one you decide to go with, you better act quick: only 210 Rapide AMR’s will be produced for now. They’ll also retail for $240,000 and will be out this fall.
