Taylor Stitch knows how to make clothes, and all their pieces of apparel seem to meet at the intersection of rugged, masculine style, bombproof quality and functionality that works both on the trail and on the town. Their Truckee Jacket is no different; made from an ultra-soft, kinda-fluffy recycled polyester blend and named for the famous area and river of the Sierra Mountains, it’s a warm, casual jacket ready for virtually everything, whether that’s running errands, heading out for a drink with a friend or wearing it around the campfire on your next camping trip.

The main part of the jacket consists of a soft Sherpa exterior bonded to a fleece backside for a warm and cozy piece. In addition to the 12.5-ounce fabric that makes up the bulk of the jacket, Taylor Stitch also gave it reinforced sleeves patches and a reinforced yoke, abrasion-resistant and made of a 4.3-ounce blend of recycled nylon and spandex. The reinforcements are also treated with a DWR finish. Using close to 60% recycled polyester and nylon in their jackets helps cut down on costs, but also makes the jacket a sustainable product that feels good to use.

Taylor Stitch certainly didn’t miss a beat with this jacket and gave it all the details you could ask for; zip chest pockets, zip handwarmer pockets on the waist, and ribbed cuffs for warmth and stretch. It’s seriously warm and fuzzy, and whether you’re planning to wear it on your next night out, relaxing at the cabin or on your next backcountry ski trip, you can count on the Truckee Jacket to have your back. It’s still in funding, but if you head over there now, you can score $30 off as part of their pre-sale.
